HAYWOOD ARTS REGIONAL THEATER BACK DROP COLLECTION

HART is a non-profit community theater located in Western North Carolina. Many of our backdrops were created by Mark Mounce, who served as our scenic artist for a number of years; new drops by other artists are being added regularly. Our drops were all created for our own productions and to fit our stage, which has a 30 foot wide by 14' high proscenium. The drops are treated with fire retardant and painted on scenic muslin and scrim with Rosco Iddings on a base of commercial paint. For additional information e-mail us at hartthea@bellsouth.net.

RENTAL POLICY

1. Our minimum rental period is one week.
2. Drops can be picked up or shipped – if shipped the costs via UPS per full size drop for one way shipping is $35 for locations in the East, $45 for locations in the mid-West and $50 for locations in the West. You will be billed for the outbound shipping and will be responsible for paying the return shipping.
3. Drops rent for $100 for the first week, $75 for the second week and $50 for every week thereafter. Tabs rent for $50 for the first week, $35 for the second week and $25 for every week thereafter.
4. All drops are shipped UPS one week prior to the beginning of your rental period. Shipping costs are billed in addition to rent and drops must be returned with shipping prepaid.
5. Shipments must be returned via UPS to HART, 250 Pigeon St. Waynesville, NC 28786
6. There is a service charge of $20 per full size drop on all shipments to cover packaging and handling. Tabs can usually be packed at no extra charge in boxes with full size drops so there is no extra charge. If renting tabs alone a minimum $20 charge will apply.
7. You are responsible for all damages to any item in your possession. Do not nail, staple, tack, or pin any drops or drapery.
8. Orders must be shipped out for return within five days of the end of the rental period.
9. You are responsible for folding the drop as you received it. Take note of the instructions that come with the drop on how this is done and have the person who unfolded the drop when it arrived oversee its return. Never fold a drop with the painted surface facing out.
